The United States presidential election of 2056 was the 68th quadrennial American presidential election, held on Saturday, November 4, 2056. Independent candidates incumbent President Alessandra Mandrini from New Jersey and incumbent Vice President Farouk D'Aubelijin from Mississippi defeated Democratic Party nominees Governor Madison Dusenelli of New York and U.S. Representative Paul Rockwell from South Carolina, Republican Party nominees former U.S. Senator Cory Gardner from Colorado and U.S. Senator Meghan McCain from Arizona, Socialist Party nominees U.S. Representative Julia Sanchez from New Mexico and political activist Steve Delun from Minnesota, and Green Party nominees County Executive Michael Young from Virginia and political activist Aidan Roberts from California. At the age of 42, Alessandra Mandrini became the youngest president ever elected to a second term.

Alessandra Mandrini, as a popular incumbent president and an independent, recieved no opposition from within a political party. In the Democratic field, there were many candidates, with Governor Madison Dusenelli of New York eventually becoming the frontrunner and winning enough delegates to capture the Democratic nomination. In the Republican field, there was a close race between several candidates, with former U.S. Senator Cory Gardner from Colorado eventually gaining enough delegates to capture the Republican nomination. There were a handful of candidates in the Socialist field, with U.S. Representative Julia Sanchez from New Mexico capturing the Socialist nomination with relative ease. There were also not many candidates in the Green field, with County Executive Michael Young from Virginia easily capturing the Green nomination. The campaigns focused largely on domestic issues, such as an ongoing refugee crisis in the Southwestern United States, reformation of the education, justice, and economic systems, and the impacts of climate change in the United States.

Mandrini won the election in the one of the biggest landslide victories in American history. With 65.47% of the popular vote, she won the popular vote by the largest margin since James Monroe ran unopposed in the 1820 presidential election. Following two decisive defeats by an independent candidate, the Democratic and Republican parties would not be able to recover, never again winning a national election.
